Ficly

A leopard can't change its shorts, you know.

Write a Ficly or series with one or more characters that are prone to malapropisms. Seamless dialog will improve your chances of winning. So regale me with a story. Make it a comedy or a drama or anything in between. I don’t care if I laugh or cry, just as long as I’m moved.

So what exactly is a malapropism, you ask? A malapropism is defined as an “absurd or humorous misuse of a word, especially by confusion with one of similar sound”. Malapropisms pop up in many great literary works, from Shakespeare to Terry Prachett.

Also, so you don’t confuse a malapropism with a spoonerism or a paronomasia (pun), here are some Examples of a Malapropism:

“Our watch, sir, have indeed comprehended two auspicious persons.” ( apprehended , suspicious )

“A Menstrual show” ( minstrel )
