So with the New Year on the horizon I thought a challenge involving healing was appropriate.

Write a story about a character who reaches the point where it is time to start over and allow the healing process to begin. You can take this as literally as you like, just so long as your character begins to get better in some way, be it spiritually, physically or mentally.
