I wrote a ficly on the 6th of feb, that I may now remove because it’s more of a blog post than a ficly. But I think I’d like to replace that ficly with this challenge.

Write about your world being destroyed by a disaster. Flood, fire, earthquake, storm, meteor shower; it doesn’t matter. But here’s the catch:

It has to be your world.

Your street, your house, your school.

Obviously, don’t post your address or personal information on Ficly, but tell a story about what you would do if something horrible happened to your home.

Where are you when it hits? How do you and others react? Do you run? Where? Do you hide? What do you try to save? How much time do you have? What about your pets? Are your parents affected? What do the neighbours do? The authorities? Who phones you when they see your home on the news?

Of course, I’ll never know whether you really write about your home. But even if you don’t, just think about what it would be like.

It might be an eye-opening experience.
