His Eyes
I knew I shouldn’t walk through the alley. It’s dangerous. But I was late so I went anyway. As I walked, I felt someone tap my shoulder. I shrieked, and twirled around. There was a man, but not just any man. I knew him, but I’ve never seen him before. A familiar stranger. I did something I shouldn’t have. I looked into his eyes.
His eyes were a piercing jade green. They seemed to look into my soul. I tried to look away, but I couldn’t. His eyes had me trapped. I was paralyzed on the spot. It was like a snake and a mouse right before it was eaten. It was paralyzed, looking into the snake’s eyes. I was the mouse, he was the snake.
His eyes crinkled as he smiled. His eyes were deep and kind, but cruel and sinister at the same time. I couldn’t stop staring into them. His jade eyes were dark, yet also light. He beckoned me forward. Mesmerized, I walked to him, still caught by his eyes.
He lead me into a building. I went without questioning.
I was right about before. About the snake and mouse. The mouse was gone.
