I have never read the book that this has mentioned so I’m just going to comment on this pretending like I know what you’re talking about.

And what happened to the characters? Or is the narrator talking? A little confusing , sure. But for the love of God, make paragraphs instead of a separate line for every sentence, you kinda only do that for poetry.
