You have created in the narrator a sad, yet easy to empathize with character. The story makes me want to learn more, well done.

I’m guessing from the title that this friend of which the narrator speaks of is online.

But with that aside, the voice is sad and depressing. I like it.

I liked the rubber band metaphor at the end. I thought this was a nice rendition to modern heartache and deception that exists thanks to the simultaneous connectivity and anonymity of the internet.

the rubber band is my favorite part too. I wish the whole thing read like that part. but I needed the emotive descriptions.
