I think I know what happened….but I could be totally wrong. I especially liked the 2nd to last paragraph.

Bryant is the school.. I thought for a second Bryant was a person. :) I hope ‘she’ can forget the past and heal from this experience.

Anyhoo, I was a little confused until I realised Bryant was the school – you might want to clear that up, but still, lots of hinting and guessing to keep us on our toes! Good work, MH :)

Brilliantly executed. The setup is awesome, and that last line is an unexpected uppercut.

I think it’s clever how you don’t say what happened but we can kinda guess.
Some good writing although your speech is pretty hesitant. That’s sometimes good but I think a few too many “ums!”

I think saying “Bryant Elementary” would sound a bit more natural than “Bryant School”.

Still, a deep tale, and one that begs for a sequel when I have the time.

I wouldn’t change an um or a hm, but maybe you already have.
