Good beginning, but I want to know why she must never know. It is supposed to be forbidden love after all. I guess I just get to literal sometimes. But well written and I can totally relate!

Well, the reason she can’t know is because of the boyfriend she has already, and the character doesn’t want to intrude upon their relationship, despite his feelings for her.
I probably should’ve made that clearer.

Well, if you’ve read any of my stories, you would probably know why I didn’t pick up on that right away. I’m not sure it was unclear. I was just anticipating a more sinister reason, I guess. Darn my horrific mind!
