I know how you feel. I went and saw that Paranormal Activity and that night, every bump woke me up! I guess we just have overactive imaginations! Relatable story.

The beginning was a bit rough, try this: “My heart rate increases as my imagination goes into overdrive, lying on my bed staring at where the ceiling should be, if it wasn’t so inkily DARK.”
Kudos for the word ‘eponymous’! :) I’m going to write that down…
The ending is awesome, you captured the fear very well!
