“Are you sure you want to do this?” Jon asked.
“Yeah, I want to.” Sarah said nervously.
She wasn’t sure if she was ready for this, but she didn’t want to let Jon down. She didn’t know if this was something she would enjoy. She knew it was something he was really keen on, but it just didn’t appeal to her.
But she felt obliged, she owed him this. They’d been together for 3 months now, & it’s just one of those things every couple has to do. She had made him wait long enough. She could see how much it meant to him.
He was really excited to do this with her, he’d been bringing it up for weeks now, he was subtle at first but in the past few days he was quite blunt and open about the subject.
Eventually she gave in, she would just do it, it would make him happy & that’s what mattered, she loved him, & she knew he loved her.
When you’re in love with someone sometimes you need to compromise, at least that’s what she told herself.
So that night, at Jon’s new flat.
Sarah watched her first ever episode of Doctor Who.
