It’s been a really long time since I’ve Actually L-O-Led at a ficly I’ve read. I was smiling from the beginning when it said ‘personal message’, then it turned into a grin at ‘human being’, uneven breathing at the ‘deeply discussed’ disappointment, and laughter from ‘yuck’ onward. lol! oh man, I loved this

Though I must say, Never lose your expectations. It may seem the logical and ‘safe’ way to go, but when you lose your expectations . . you lose pieces of your dreams too. Ilivedthehardway, please listen to experience and don’t stop having Great Expections (good book) on account of it not hurting. We gain strength from overcoming disappointments; not forgetting about them

And to delve deeper into the topic, undoubtedly one should never lose expectations and hopes (especially for themselves and what they want to do with their life). In a sense, this is more of a commentary on not to let certain people continuously let you down. Even if you may hold certain expectations of someone (possibly because you would be willing to do whatever for them) and they have a sort of reputation for letting you down, while knowingly disappointing, then it is not worth the time and effort.
That’s sort of specifically what I was trying to get across as well. But always learn from these situations for sure.
