Day 20: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

January 20th

“Robin wait up!” I yelled running to catch up with him.

“Is it true?”

“Is what true?” I asked.

“You and John.”

“Yes,” I said, “and I know you hate him but if you could just try—”

“I will never like that kid.” He interrupted.
“Okay you say that now but I was Pride and Prejudice today and Elizabeth absolutely despises Mr. Darcy. She thinks that he looks down on country people and he misuses people. He proposes and she tells him no! Then Elizabeth realizes it’s all just a big mistake! She misunderstood who he actually is. They work everything out and live happily ever after. Maybe If you just give him a chance you could be friends!”

“Why is it so important to you that I like him?”

“Because your opinion matters to me.”

“Forget it.”

“But Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy.” I argued.

“Listen Kat life isn’t like a book. There isn’t always a happy ending and things don’t always work out how you want them to. The sooner you learn that the better…”
