Tapas Towers: The Complaint

It was a slow day in Tapas Towers, it had been a slow couple of weeks. Steve had been there for 2 years now, 6 months ago he was promoted to the position of manager. He hated the job, but the money was good and he got free meals everyday.

Vinnie, the owner, called him into the office for “a word.”

“Steve, I received this letter this morning, have a read.”

Steve quickly read through the letter, it was a complaint, a Mr Ward claimed the service was terrible, the food was cold and the maître d’ ignored him when he tried to complain.

“Steve this just isn’t good enough, I can’t have my customers being ignored.”

“I’m sorry Vinnie, I don’t remember this guy at all.”

“That’s even worse, you don’t remember the important customers, maybe I should re think this whole promotion.”

Steve felt terrible, was he really this crap at his job? He read the letter again, then he noticed something.

“Vinnie, this letter says he visited on Tuesday June 4th.”

“Yeah so what.”

“I don’t work Tuesday’s Vinnie, you do.”
