Hi.

This is my pet, Lucy. I don’t really know what breed she is, some kind of Asian type. I really enjoy walking her, and taking her to the park. However, she is almost completely blind. This doesn’t change much; I still love her with all my heart.

The doctors said she would eventually lose her vision entirely, and that she’d completely depend on me. So I do my best to make every day as fun for her as I can. Sometimes all that’s needed is to know that she isn’t alone. That she has a best friend there, and these days always end up being the best. Sometimes she even gives me treats.

I’ve never had a second thought about becoming her guide dog.
