Accepting The Truth (2)
Michael wakes up from his nap around three and quickly looks for his parents, but is a little scared when he can’t find them. He starts to imagine himself as some orphan in the city looking for his real parents.
The big buildings he sees are colorful and tall. The streets of this city are painted pink and the lines are green; cars don’t drive here. Saluting all of the flying monkeys, Michael thinks he sees Charlie in the distance. Did he finally move back? Was he playing hide and go seek with the big kids?
Michael runs to were he thinks Charlie was, but when he temporarily comes back to reality he sees that Charlie isn’t there.
“Charlie? Charlie…” Michael shouts to no one in particular. He expects Charlie to jump out from the trees and tickle him like he used to before Charlie went on a trip to the far away place. But, for what seems forever to Michael, nothing happens; Charlie doesn’t jump from anywhere. Michael hopes he’s with the big kids.
