Hiro’s high school journey is a dangerous expedition that must be taken to achieve the triumphant milestone that is graduation. He starts off in the humble beginnings of middle school, where he is comfortable with everything. Without warning, Hiro receives his call to adventure, an invitation to become a part of this strange world, filled with fastidious teachers and students ferreting out ways to earn passing grades. Should Hiro accept the call, he then crosses the first threshold into the unfamiliar world of high school, leaving the familiar confines of his world and venturing into an unknown realm where the rules and limits are not known. Led by a mentor with wisdom that may seem supernatural, the fervent boy is then joined by a group of companions who are to assist him on his journey, such as the diminutive, yet expert drum major, the graceful and elegant trumpet player, the fecund and sardonic vice president, and the oriental flute player.
