Repentance - Part I
“Forgive me Father, for I have sinned, it’s been 4 weeks since my last confession,” Father Jacob sat in his wooden confessional. It was almost 10, and the storms were getting worse. Something was happening in the heavens tonight, but he didn’t know what. He couldn’t see through the veil anymore as he used to.
“Go on my son,” Jacob held his rosary beads as his hairs stood on end each time a lightening bolt struck.
“Hello Ya’akov,” Jacob knew that voice. Only “he” knew his true name.
“Gabriel,” Jacob sighed. He looked through the grate to see Gabriel lighting a cigarette.
“It’s been a long time friend,” Gabriel said putting his lighter back in his pocket.
“We haven’t been friends for a long time.” Jacob got up and exited the confessional, Gabriel followed him.
“We’re still brothers, He couldn’t change that.” Gabriel said.
“I’m still a demon Gabriel. A demon trying to pay for his sins,” Jacob said his back to Gabriel. “Now go back to Dad, he needs you tonight.”
“I can’t, He sent me to find you.”
