Repentance - Part II
Lightening struck the steeple of the church which sent the lights into a flickering frenzy.
“What do you mean He sent you to find me?” Jacob turned around to stare at Gabriel in the middle aisle of the empty church.
“I mean just that. He knows you didn’t fight in the Wars.” Gabriel said as he puffed a smoke from his cigarette.
“Yeah and I was banished remember? Forever a demon because I didn’t stand up and fight. Those were his words not mine.”
“I’m not going to go through a history lesson with you. The point is, He wants your help and you’re going to do it.”
“Like hell I’m not!” Jacob yelled so loud the rafters shook.
“The apocalypse is coming Ya’akov. The horsemen are at the starting gate, and already there’s dissension in the ranks.”
“That’s not the real reason, there’s more isn’t there.” Jacob knew Gabriel was hiding something, something big.
Gabriel sighed after a long pause, “Michael is gone.”
“Gone? What do you mean gone?”
“I mean the Captain of the Heavenly Hosts has been kidnapped.”
