The Ultimate Chronicle - Part 40
Crackling with energy, Space/Time Lincoln warped into re-existence before the eyes of Time/Space Poe and Jules Verne.
“Impossible,” said Verne breathlessly. “How can you return?”
“True, it was a little impossible,” said Lincoln, brushing warp residue from his chin-curtain beard, “But not too impossible for the man who saved the Omni-Union and freed all slaves throughout time and space!” A light started to strobe on Verne’s command console.
Verne’s eyes clicked as he shifted his vision to the console. “It’s Tesla! Mecha-Hitler is making his move!”
Time/Space Poe stepped past his brother Space/Time Lincoln and looked at the console, which was all meaningless numbers to someone without Verne’s augmented vision. “Has he sent another Megavatar?”
Verne nodded, his pneumatic neck hissing. “The biggest one yet. 200 feet tall.”
The console’s display reflected in Space/Time Lincoln’s goggles. “No matter. Justice and liberty shall prevail. There is work to be done. Let us go, my friends, to 1939!”
