A Dustland Fairytale
Once upon a time, there was a beautiful princess. The most beautiful in all the land, and she ruled her kingdom with a firm hand, and was loved by all.
But one day, an evil dragon woke up from his thousand-year sleep and slaughtered thousands of innocent people, enslaving their children for his murder-making machines.
Luckily, a brave and handsome prince came to the princess’ castle and pledged to defeat the dragon by her side, in return for her hand in marriage. The princess happily agreed, and they rode upon a marvelous white stallion to fight the dragon.
When they arrived, the dragon boomed in a mighty voice. “You can not defeat me, for my fire is stronger than any shield, and my claws sharper than any sword. Plus I have your prince’s soul.”
With those words the prince threw the princess into the dragon’s flame.
Because that’s what life is really like. People betray you, and men belong to the most enticing offer. Life isn’t a fairytale anymore.
