From Heidi to Liz
Heidi knew exactly how to phrase this note: like a sandwich… maybe. It had taken four failed tries just to get the note phrased right, and all of them were addressed to Randy. Heidi needed confirmation that what she was doing would not in fact be the social death of her. She did not want to be the butt of jokes like Kristin.
LIZ!! Heidi started out in her usual note format. Liz was alright: she had been in Heidi’s class since the fifth grade, and Heidi had made multiple attempts at friendship. (Sometimes at the request of the teacher.)
I HEARD TYLER MUTTERING TO HIMSELF AND LOOKING AT YOU. > I THINK HE LIKES YOU!! _
Now for the question. Liz sat right next to Randy, so, by association, she should at least know who he did and did not like. And by ‘like’ she meant like like.
QUESTION: DO YOU THINK RANDY LIKES ME???
Heidi folded the scrap precisely five times and hissed at Liz to get ready, throwing it.. on the floor, in the end – praying for a good answer.
