Ficly is a giant, online creative writing class with no teacher and a lot of eager students. That’s how I like to think of it, and its why I love it.

The best part is that it is a class based entirely on lab work. The whole site serves as a locus for creative experimentation. Each ficly is just long enough to be something worth the effort., but not so large as to preclude doing something daring, different, or outside your comfort zone.Then, not only do you get the experience of doing something new, you get to find out how well it went over with the audience.
