Last prayer
The Colonel walked calmly over towards Jenkins and removed the axe from his back. He knelt down and pulled back Jenkins head by his hair. “This is the last time Padre, now you shall pay. These lives,” Mackenzie moved Jenkins’ head so he could look at his family burning in the church, “are on your hands.” Mackenzie let go of Jenkins hair and let his head hit the ground. The Colonel pulled back the hammer of his six shooter and pointed it at Jenkins’ head. “Repeat after me.”
Jenkins could barely speak, but coughed up blood.
“Dear Lord,”
“Dear Lord,” Jenkins coughed.
“Take thy soul and those of my families.”
Jenkins repeated.
“Amen.”
The Colonel pulled the trigger and the silver bullet glistened from the light of the flames as it exited the barrel and penetrated Jenkins skull, killing him instantly.
“Hallelujah.” The Colonel said to himself as he stood over the body.
As The Colonel walked back into town all the townsfolk cheered as the evil baby killing priest was now dead.
