I really liked the unbounded optimism of that first paragraph. It set up the rest nicely, even if I’m not entirely certain what happened. Did she stop a suicide or a homicide? Either way, it’s a nice little story about a smoldering idea in the back of her head finally gaining expression in this one dramatic moment.

the main character took a bullet, but you tell me the rest, what happened, where, why, will she/he live?

Excellent change of pace. You set me up like a bowling pin for a slower-paced Fic, then nailed me with the last 2 paragraphs.

Also cool how the tone of the whole story is pretty evenly- and positively-toned even though someone’s getting, y’know, shot.
