Overdue Anger
It’s a late night on April 14th in Harrisburg, PA. Malik is sitting in his stuffy, cramped apartment.
[DRIP!]
Malik is pacing around the room, “Ahhh I have to get this done!” Tax forms are scattered across the kitchen table. “I just have to buckle down and stop complaining.”
[DRIP!] - “Jesus what is that sound?”
Time passes and Malik is making steady progress, but is not finished yet. Malik apprehensively says to himself, “Only a bit more and I’ll be home free, hopefully…”
A note slips through his door
[DRIP!]
“Mailtime was a while ago, what could it possibly be?” His palms start sweating as he walks to the little slip on his floor. He picks it up.
[DRIP!]
It’s an eviction notice.
[DRIP!]
Malik let’s out a roar and flips the kitchen table. He singles out the kitchen sink, rips it out and throws it out the window, “Stop the dripping too!”
Now he sists in his apartment panting heavily, angry at the world, taxes not done.[DRIP!]
“WHERE IS IT COMING FROM?”
Malik breaks down and cries. :’’(
