Hey P.J. This is really engrossing and I can see a series beginning.

Intriguing, mythic feel to it. You really capture this feeling that there is a large story behind this small piece and that of a momentous shift soon to come. Nice subtle line about the ‘gentlemen of the King’s bedchamber’. It took me a reread to catch the implication.

This seemed to drop under the radar a little, but it’s a gem of a series-starter – lots of suggestions about a corrupt monarchy, a secret society and a building revolution…
