It's better to think in Hell, than recite in Heaven.
If you’re the sort of person who craves authority figures telling you what to do, who likes rules and regulations, who doesn’t like to work things out for himself.. well, heaven is perfect for you. You’ll love it.
But if you’re the sort of person who loves to work things out for yourself. To use your brain, and think things through. If you’ve never skipped to the end of a mystery novel, if you’ve questioned authority or broken the rules because you thought you knew better, there’s a place for you too.
Most of the great thinkers are here. And it’s not a place of fire and brimstone and torment. How would the great unthinkers of your age describe their times in school, hmm?
We don’t have all the answers. Yet. We don’t just ask HaShem and get given the answer. There’s no fun in that. We have scientists and philosophers and truly great men. And we have time. So much time. All the time required to use reason and logic to remove the cruelty from out of the hearts of men and monsters. Hatred has no meaning here.
