In your poem, at the end— ‘is there…only’, I feel like even those that have died haven’t truly discovered anything in that case. Like once you go it might be like you become something entirely different, incapable of thinking or feeling in the same way, or perhaps unable to think or feel anything at all. Thought provoking
Thanks guys. Yea, the poem is meant to be more thought-provoking then an attempt at an actual answer. I was actually inspired to write this by a long piece of prose I’m writing when I was trying to decide how to handle the character’s death and the beginning of his afterlife in first person. I can talk more about the thought that went into writing the poem if people wish.
