Books are powerful.
They can take a reader to places they’ve never seen or dreamed of. But truly powerful books hold an idea and once released it takes hold of the readers mind, changing the way they view their world forever. What if a book could do more then hold an idea but the essence of a person or worse.

Two weeks before the large leather bond book sealed in an air tight case with a digital lock arrived at Sir Gregory Courtney’s estate. It was liberated from the secret vaults deep in the Vatican’s library. The code for the lock was removed from a safe in the office to the head of the Institute of Miracles, the Black Pope, superior general of the Society of Jesus.

Sir Courtney sat with the case unopened at his studies 18th-century mahogany secretary, the temptation to open it and read from its pages was too much to bare but he held back; knowing the price he’d pay for the pleasure. Soon the society of the Morning stars Ascension into the Light of Day, will fulfil its purpose repaying its debt.
