Plot wise, it’s simplistic. You wouldn’t ask for volunteers for a one way mission to mars. You could prove a lot of things with robots or other animal life. We sent dogs and chimps into space first, did we not?
So it’s a bit simplistic and naive in how it portrays space travel and the decision making process involved.
But in terms of the writing, it is clean and crisp with no glaring mistakes.
While it is a bit simplistic plot-wise, there isn’t much room for backstory within the character limit. I do really like the feeling I get from this story. What ever that is, I’m not quite sure but I enjoyed it nonetheless. There is a quaint combination of adventure and sadness.
