The Final Collision
To those in the know, there is no left and no right. There is no right and wrong. There are only those who are trying to protect this secret and there is everybody else. For as long as human beings have dreamed of technology, we have wondered what it would be. We assumed it would be perpetual energy or faster-than-light travel.
A discovery of such magnitude that it would move humanity foward to the next step. Now, in this bunker, in this shallow grave of a basement beneath the Earth, we fight to ensure the operation of the only device that will keep humanity alive. It is far from the light where we toil.
It is far from the smell of grass.
Those lab coats scurry through the maze of tubes and dark laboratories in the complex, and it is the men under my command who protect them while they spool up the device. This machine that will freeze the countdown to mankind’s extinction. It is the only end that the means can justify.
It is the weapon that will kill God.
