Hunter: Strange Way of Saying Hello...

All was quiet. After Amy had told me to stay there, she had run out the back door and I hadn’t heard from her since. Mack had entered, wearing pants and nothing else, and had made himself some coffee before standing there, staring at me, half-naked. I couldn’t help looking him over— I mean, I’m a girl, come on! Slamming doors made me look awake from his wonderfully cold eyes, and I looked up just in time to see Amy fling someone at me. “Aaeep!”

I crashed to the floor, for at least the third time today, under someone’s weight. This person was a girl, which was clear when their chest crashed down on my face. Thrashing, I think I hit her in the throat or something, because with a choking sound the person was off me.

Mack, still half-dressed, finished his coffee, came over and picked me up. He glared at the girl, and with one hand pushed her across the room so she banged her head on the cupboard door. I gaped as he let go of my arm, turned, smiled cheerfully at me, and went to sit on the counter. Amy stared.
