Burning any books, to me, is abominable. Books are treasures, no matter what they symbolise.

Why don’t we burn Bibles to protest the fighting in Northern Ireland? Or kill some sacred cows to protest the wars between India and Pakistan? Or torch some bonzai trees to protest the bombing of Pearl Harbor?

Can’t we all just get along? Burning the Quran is just stupid and hateful and is going to get innocent people killed on both sides.
