Very strange but seems to nonchalantly hint at a much larger narrative and universe.

This little ficly reminded me of the awesome 80’s arcade game Joust…. Knights on a ostrich or stork battle gaint buzzards. For you younsters on ficly, the 80’s were an awesome time of Pacman, Prince, and Glasnov!

Anywho, this was a wonderfully interesting read, even though it was about mounting a chicken.

A writing friend of mine from Protagonize, who goes by the handle Archi Teuthis (she’s also known as The Chief Squid), has this thread called “The [Fraudulent!] Autobiography” (http://prt.ag/79sa), and its most recent entry contained a few late-night story starters, one of which I directly borrowed for the first line of this piece.

I’m thinking Chocobo. Or just a dwarf on a chicken. Or just my own fantasy of riding an ostrich.

The opening line is fantastic, the character voice is entertaining, and the 4th paragraph about the chicken himself is awesome. Great work.
