Devil Take my Hope

Every breath
Echoes death

I run further and further into the depthless halls, ever deeper,
The scent of sweet release advances softly, ever sweeter.
Tendrils swallow up my aching feet, precious pain,
Still I follow loss into the labyrinth, heavy rain.

Vengeance greets
Hope fleets

My head spins with the endless twists and turns, faster still,
Remember when I could have taken all, take the pill.
A lense falls out and now I am half blind, all the better,
So collide with bits and pieces of the maze, getting wetter.

Breaking backs
The Earth cracks

The walls climbing higher up above me, feeling small,
Soon the sky is no’t but a speck, feckless fall.
My hair whips up and pricks my ears, last sensation,
Then fire wipes last pureness from my neck, reincarnation.

Tattoo across my chest
The Devil knows me best
