Commentary: Entry for the “Before the curtain falls…” challenge. I used to be a fan of Dr Who back in the early 1980s, when Tom Baker played the Doctor. This story is set during the “Key to Time” story arc.

I was with you until the line about the queen of spades. That one felt dropped in and sort of disrupted your storytelling by dialog, which is tricky to start with and made all the more difficult by trying to throw in something so random. Fun moment though, especially since I’m a Dr. Who fan myself.
