I struggled to make this a tragedy, but I decided it felt less forced this way.

I might have guessed your original intentions for this, as the first two thirds or so does read like it’s en route to a shockingly calamitous end…

So it was kind of weird but cathartic to be double bluffed almost, amd left with a nice ending! Perhaps you could interpret the ‘leaves drifting’ as ominous, but I prefer to take a happier view.

I expected to chute to fail, or something. It was nice that it didn’t.
Happy endings are hard to find.
