Me and Leroy is an old comedy bit by Gene Tracy. Wolf Creek Pass came from a song by C.W.McCall, and the black dog came from the movie of the same name. This is not only my first try at a challenge, but the first story I have written here at Ficly. Hope you enjoy it.

It’s a funny little story and character voice you’ve come up with here, not to mention quite a mash-up of themes.

You have a couple of fragments in there, and some divisions that seem a bit odd (like having the “I thought, until last night.” as a separate sentence). So, basically, it’s got a lot of potential and could do with some cleaning up from a grammar standpoint.

Despite those few grammar thingies, the character voice is really strong. A fun piece.
