Bizarre. Sounds at times like a Dr. Who type character, but more sounds like a god or minor deity of legend, a protector of time, reality, or perhaps the Tree of Life. Hard to imagine what would make such a being falter.

The mention of insane creatures remind me of some of your other writings, it makes me think that some of these people might be reptiles crossed with amphibians who are both scientifically advanced and magically capable. But I can’t be sure. As a stand alone story, it was amazing. It left me hungry for more.

Hmm… It reminded me of HG Wells’ writing, The Time Machine in particular. Definetly a good thing, if you ask me. This piece had me hooked from the first sentence. It’s so intriguing!
