A Step Away

He closed his eyes and started to breath slowly. Outside the room, people were still going about their work. He had to step away from everything for a moment. He was starting to get tired of the people he dealt with.

The work he did was enjoyable. He liked it and had a good time working on things. It was only recently that he started to feel drained. The problem was he felt that people were becoming less independent. Simple tasks that people would do in the past, they were now expecting others to take care of it. In other cases, he had to explain things in more detail, as the people appeared have their “hand held” more often.

He did not know if it was a change in society, work ethics, or perhaps he was taking things too personal. It just seemed that no one wanted to think for themselves anymore. As he was getting more temperamental with people, he needed a break. He found this room where he could get away for a few minutes. He closed his eyes and continued to breathe slowly, starting to feel relaxed.
