While generally upbeat, this also comes across with a bit of a sad tone due to it being entirely in past tense, PJ. It’s got a did-but-doesn’t-anymore flavour.

To be fair, it’s also a variation of the perfect tense in context.

I do hope it still does all that stuff P.J. But I like the slightly sad tone. After all, our writing would be nothing without the emotion that fuels it. Great use of ellipses make it seem to be stretching on forever.

The past tense doesn’t distress me at all primarily because you end it with “made my life.”— encompassing past, present, and future. Truly lovely, PJ.
