So Verdie got what he wanted, though no doubt the reality of being in the navy isn’t going to be as glorious or heroic as what he expects… still brought a smile to my face though.

Great start to an epic adventure, taking the olde style naval boy’s adventure tale into the stars. Nice job using the tags for exposition—a cheeky little trick.
