Nice, I’d never thought about when she’d first received the news of the end of the war before. The prayer to Poseidon was a great ironic touch too.

I love everything to do with greek mythology. Yesterday and the day before, I even poured out libations for the gods to bless me and grant me the strenght to win my hockey game. The blissful Gods in Olympus granted me my wish. On a more relevant note, I loved this story. Little does she know that Poseidon, great sea god who shakes the Earth, had cursed her beloved husband and his men. All in all, great story well written.

@H.S. Most amateur hockey players that I know also believe in libations, but generally after the game rather than before, and I don’t think that any of those libations ever reach the ground.
