Bs? How so? Is it completely made up? Or you just don’t like it?

I feel like I’m trying too hard to with the ending— it’s too esoteric at the end— but it’s not anything special or interesting to know about anyway. I didn’t like it when I wrote it, Jonathan— but I’m harsh on myself… I don’t think it’s so terrible upon re-reading it. This is why I delete a lot of my own comments. They tend to be self deprecating when really I should just relax a little.

Writing towards something is handy, you may not think that it’s good, but by the end of the process you’ve got some nice work and can have a fiddle with the end again.

Lord of the Ring’s original ending was a pie fight till Tolkien realised it didn’t fit the tone of the book any more. nods sagely
