A Cloudy February Friday

“So… do you have any plans on Monday?”
I looked down as we walked down the street. At the end of it was the jeepney stop, a good few minutes away. Enough time to talk if he wasn’t walking so fast.
“Wait up!” I laughed, grabbing his bag and tugging him closer.
He grunted, surprised, then laughed too. “Fine, fine.”
We continued along, passing some parked cars, crossing more corners.
“Well?” I nudged.
“I have a lot of projects to do,” he replied offhandedly. “You do to0,” he nudged back, smiling at me.
“Yeah, yeah.” The stop was getting closer. I brushed against his arm slightly. “Cassie said there’s a good movie showing this week.” I coughed. “Wanna go? I’ll treat you. It’ll be fun!”
“Cramming won’t help you, you know,” he smiled again.
“I know.” I rolled my eyes. “So you want to go?”
“I’ll take you on that offer some other time, when we’re not busy,” he chuckled.
A jeep was honking, its driver waiting.
“Well, here’s your stop,” I said.
“Yeah,” he replied.
“Have a good Valentine’s Day, then.”
“You too.”
