Out In The Water

You’re laying there exhausted like you’ve never done this before, and he pushes himself up from the irony of his sailboat sheets. Still reeling with endorphins, he wraps a hand towel around his waist.

“C’mon,” He insists, throwing a smirk over his shoulder, “the ocean awaits, sir.”

You follow his surf-toned physique up the narrow stairs and out to the wide open, glittering expanse as the breeze hits the heightened sensitivity of your bare skin. He’s disrobing, as much as one can from a hand towel, and jumping in before your needy arms have a chance to touch him.

Following suit, you’re alive and well with an adrenaline-soaked laugh as your body plunges to lapping waters. He paddles over, water sparkling from the ends of his hair with the gigantic smile of forbidden fruit written all over. You let him kiss you again, and this time the challenge is greater as you bump against each other out in the open. Secrets unfolding, you don’t want to ask but the time is nigh,

“Where was your girlfriend this weekend?”
