Time to Go, Mr. Tyler

“You said the world’s about to change? What did you mean by that?”
Marshall walked at his side, their destination unknown. The rain, it had a most peculiar way of bending the light, of creating shapes that weren’t really there.
“Every single civilization goes through a breaking point” said Marshall “some are preventable…real shame it’s almost here”
“Almost here?”
His curiosity was become frustration. No real answers, just cryptic messages.
“I want answers now
“Alright, after all, we’re already here”
“Here?”
“This is the bridge, this is the place where the end begins”
They said nothing and just stared at the harbor.Colors, still as bright as the day they were created, and a dark sky, which seemed just right.
“One final question, Tyler, what does this moment feel like to you?”
“What do you mean?”
“This is the last moment you will ever experience as Tyler, what do you feel?”
“Freedom, I guess, but I don’t know”
Silence that lasted just a moment.
“What happens now?” asked Tyler.
“Freedom, Mr. Valentine”
