Allegro con anima
I watch him until he passes the Vaughan building. Stupid mook gets what he deserves, running out like that after getting just a taste. At least he’s keeping the big boy occupied.
I take the rest of the boys down into the vault right as the charges go off. A bit too loud for my taste, but I took the liberty of planting some C4 on 42nd street this morning after walking Marty, just so we can have some privacy. Suppose now would be as good a time as any.
It takes a while to get to the facility. We had to rattle some cages and knock a few heads, but nothing serious. We get there and we just had to take a moment to reflect, you know? Savor the moment. It’s every kid’s dream to pilot a giant robot, or at least every super villain’s dream. It certainly was big, bigger than even I expected. I quickly regain my composure and set the boys to work. I get into the cockpit as they open the hatch and fire up the engines. The leviathan hums to life and I smile.
Let’s see if we can get a tune out of this trombone.
