I really like this. Nobody ever comes out and says how exciting it’d probably be to hop in a giant robot and fight a superhero, mainly because everyone’s too busy talking about things like “collateral damage,” or “innocent civilians in harm’s way”

I think the line about “walking Marty” sells it for me in some bizarre way. I love both of these stories and I think they dovetail together really well. I want to know more about them… maybe I’ll try to write a sequel-sequel myself!
