Beast Of Burden

They say that blood is thicker then water, that family are all that really matters in this world. I agreed, and still do with both of the previous statements but circumstance has lead me to question them and life more then once.
I have made it my mission in life to always look out for my little brother, Marcus. While only a year seperates us I always see him as someone that needs my guidance in life. Now more then ever he needs my help but giving it to him has proven very difficult. He is a monster, he has killed twenty-two people within the last four weeks. I find it hard to erase the headlines from my memory, “Another victim savaged by the Beast of Bodmin Moor” and “Witness claims wolf killed young man”.
I sometimes wonder how much of my brother is left in that beast, if somewhere locked away behind the animalistic instincts he is residing.
I cannot be sure when or if he will ever return to me, return to humanity but for now I have to care for him like big sisters do.
My gun is loaded.
